Crowdin's pricing page does not display amounts. What it does give you is the formula, and the formula is the part that decides your bill.

The unit
Source words times target languages
Billed per hosted word, which is source words multiplied by target languages. The tenth language changes nothing about the text and nearly doubles the number.
Crowdin's unit is the hosted word, and its own definition is the number of words that should be translated multiplied by the project's target languages. The example on their page is 500 words across 10 languages, which is 5,000 hosted words. Read that twice, because it is the single most important sentence for anyone budgeting: the count is not what you wrote, it is what you wrote times how far you want it to travel. It is also recurring. The words stay hosted whether or not anyone edits them again, so a stable interface in many languages carries the same monthly weight in year three as in month one.
Why the tenth language costs as much as the first nine
Take an app with a 3,000-word interface. At five target languages that is 15,000 hosted words. Add five more markets and it is 30,000, with no new source text written. The plan you need is chosen against that number, not against the size of your product, and it moves every time a market is added rather than every time the product changes. Whether that is expensive depends on the plan you land in, which is the figure the public page does not show. The practical advice is to run their calculator with the language count you expect in two years, not the one you have today.
What we charge instead
€19 per seat and month, incl. VAT, cancellable monthly. Ten seats cost €105 together, which is the 10-seat plan. On top of that €10 per million tokens, charged only for strings that are new or whose source changed. A string already in the translation memory costs nothing, not on the tenth release either. Bring your own model key and no token cost arises at all.

Questions
- How much does Crowdin cost per month?
- The public pricing page did not display plan amounts when it was read in August 2026. It lists Team, Business and Enterprise, offers monthly or annual billing with two months free on annual, and points to a price calculator. To get a figure you select a plan or use that calculator.
- Do translators count against the price?
- Crowdin states that any paid subscription allows an unlimited number of translators and proofreaders. The cost driver is hosted words, not people, which is the opposite of a seat-based tool and genuinely good if you have many contributors.
- Is there a free option?
- There is a 14-day free trial for the Team plan and 30 days for Enterprise, plus a 30-day money-back guarantee. Crowdin also runs a free programme for qualifying open-source projects, which is separate from the commercial plans.
- How is ShipGlobal metered instead?
- Per seat and per token. €19 per seat and month, plus €10 per million tokens spent, and tokens are only spent on strings that are new or whose source changed. Adding a language costs the tokens to translate the text once. It does not add a recurring multiplier to everything you already translated.
