Terms and Conditions (T&Cs)

1. Scope

These General Terms and Conditions (GTC) apply to the use of the translation service shipglobal.dev, operated by Balane GmbH.

2. Service Description.

We offer an AI-based automated translation service for localization files (iOS .strings, Android .xml, JSON). The service includes:

• Automatic translation into up to 29 languages.
• Placeholder protection for formatting.
• Translation Memory to save costs.
• Management of translation projects.

3. Responsibility for content

You are solely responsible for the content you have translated using our service.

You warrant that:

• You hold the necessary rights to the uploaded content
• The content does not infringe any third-party rights
• The content does not violate applicable law
• You are authorized to have the content translated

4. Limitation of liability

We make no warranties or liabilities for:

• Quality of translations: Translations are produced by AI models. We do not guarantee 100% accuracy or suitability for a specific purpose.
• Availability: We strive for high availability, but cannot guarantee it.
• Data loss: You are responsible for backing up your data.
• Legal compliance: You are responsible for ensuring the translations are suitable for your purposes.
• Damages due to faulty translations: We are not liable for damages resulting from faulty translations.

5. Prices and Payment

Prices are shown transparently on our website. The prices displayed at the time of ordering apply.

• Payment is made exclusively through Stripe.
• All prices are inclusive of the statutory VAT.
• Invoices are automatically sent by e-mail.

6. Use of Translation Memory

When you create a project, we store your translations in Translation Memory. This helps reduce costs for future translations. You can at any time:

• View and edit individual translations
• Delete Translation Memory
• Delete projects completely

7. Use of AI services

We use various AI services for translations:

• OpenAI (GPT models)
• Anthropic (Claude)
• DeepSeek

Your uploaded texts are transmitted to these services. Details can be found in our privacy policy. Privacy policy.

8. Termination and Cancellation

You can delete your account at any time. After deletion, all your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Already paid services are not refundable.

9. Data deletion due to inactivity.

To use storage resources efficiently and protect your data, the following inactivity rules apply:

• Accounts with no activity (no logins, no translation requests) will be marked inactive after 12 months.
• You will be notified by email 30 days before the scheduled deletion
• If there is no response, after the deadline expires all account data, projects and the Translation Memory will be irrevocably deleted.
• A login or active use of the service resets the inactivity period.

We recommend regularly exporting important translations and backing them up locally.

9. Changes to the Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. You will be notified by email of any material changes. By continuing to use the Terms after changes, you agree to the new terms.

11. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction.

German law applies, excluding the UN Sales Convention (CISG). The place of jurisdiction is Munich, to the extent permitted by law.

12. Severability Clause

If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is or becomes invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions shall not be affected.
