1. Scope

These General Terms apply to the use of the translation service shipglobal.dev, operated by Balane GmbH.

2. Description

We offer an AI-powered automated translation service for localization files (iOS .strings, Android .xml, JSON). The service includes:

• Automatic translation in up to 29 languages
• Placeholders protection for formatting
• Translation Memory to reduce costs
• Management of translation projects

3. Content responsibility

You are solely responsible for the content you translate using our service.

You confirm that:

• You own the rights to the uploaded content
• The content does not infringe any third-party rights
• The content does not violate any applicable law
• You are authorised to have the content translated

4. Limitation of liability

We do not warrant or accept liability for:

• Quality of translations: Translations are generated by AI models. We do not guarantee 100% accuracy or suitability for a particular purpose.
• Availability: We strive to maintain high availability, but cannot guarantee it.
• Data loss: You are responsible for backing up your data.
• Legal compliance: You are responsible for checking whether the translations are suitable for your purposes.
• Damages arising from faulty translations: We are not liable for damages arising from faulty translations.

5. Prices and Payment

Prices are displayed transparently on our website. The prices shown at the time of order apply.

• Payments are processed exclusively through Stripe.
• All prices include the statutory VAT.
• Invoices are automatically sent by email.

6. Use of Translation Memory

When you create a project, we store your translations in the Translation Memory. This helps reduce costs for future translations. You can at any time:

• View and edit individual translations
• Delete Translation Memory
• Delete projects completely

7. Use of AI services

We use various AI services for translations:

• OpenAI (GPT models)
• Anthropic (Claude)
• DeepSeek

Your uploaded texts are transmitted to these services. Details can be found in our Privacy Policy. Privacy Policy.

8. Termination and Cancellation

You can delete your account at any time. After deletion, all of your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Already paid services will not be refunded.

9. Data Deletion on Inactivity

To use storage resources efficiently and protect your data, the following inactivity rules apply:

• Accounts with no activity (no logins, no translation requests) are marked as inactive after 12 months.
• You will be notified by email 30 days before the planned deletion.
• If there is no response, after the deadline all account data, projects and the Translation Memory will be irreversibly deleted.
• Logging in or actively using the service resets the inactivity period.

We recommend exporting important translations regularly and backing them up locally.

9. Changes to the Terms

We reserve the right to change these Terms at any time. You will be notified by email of material changes. By continuing to use the service after changes to the Terms, you agree to the new terms.

11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). The court of jurisdiction is Munich, to the extent permitted by law.

12. Severability Clause

If any provision of these Terms is or becomes invalid, this shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions.
